EQ PURADIREJA

BARRY LIKUMAHUWA
Raised in a jazz & sometimes soul/funk musical enviroment had made Barry fall in love with music itself. Proven by the fact that he was able to blow the trumpet at the age of 4, while sometimes whistle some of standard mainstream jazz tunes such as "Someday my prince will come", "Bluesette", and lots of other tune with a simple based melody line. Attracted to the bass guitar at 11, after witnessing John Pattitucci performing live with Chick Corea Electrik Band at the JakJazz Festival, and started to learn how to play the instruments autodidactly. Barry’s bass playing is mostly influenced by funk & jazz, He’s the type of musician who plays intuitively and spontaneously, each musical performance is always a new perspective with different approach on the way he does his bass lines.
